His posts include as his icon an image of an _extremely_ scantily clad woman with very large ... accoutrement. I doubt she's wearing a bra and close inspection probably shows nipples.

Is this considered a violation of the FAQ's stand on pornography?

Also at issue is Final Sephiroth's sometimes personal photo of a hardly clothed Allyson Hannigan... it's nice eye candy for some of our more boorish Allsparkers (

), but it's not the kind of imagery that should be allowed in a family board.

Incidentally, let it be known I'm looking, on the behalf of a great deal of Allsparkers, for an excuse to get Deathy out of the way...

My opinion is that since there's a rule against porn, then people shouldn't mess around or even try to push the envelope on it at all. I mean why bother? There are PLENTY of better places than the Allspark to post those things if someone really feels the need to do so.

I took care of it. I'm tired of everyone bitching and moaning about his stupidity, so I banned him until he can write a truthful and heartfelt (IE asskissing and mean it) email to the administration. And we reserve the right to deny it.

I only gave him one more warning. And he frelled it up big time.

Who exactly was it offending?
About a million people will disagree with me I'm sure, but I really didn't think the picture was any kind of violation.
But people will always attack him every time he posts, so I guess banning will him will keep things calm.

Deathy has proven incapable of learning no matter how many times he's admonished. Even if he was let back in he would only revert to form.

And Im not just saying that as someone who doesnt like him. Any perusal of ATT can back up this statement. Im not the only person who doesnt like him. Even when I laid off, you can count on others kicking him should he be allowed to come back.So it may be best for the peace that he not be allowed back in at all. He'll always have other boards and ATT to maraud, I doubt he'll suffer any with one less board.

Frankly, I'm getting tired of this.

Greg, I did give him a warning after I talked to Doc Evil last week regarding his behaviour...tactfully stating that he either shape up and act smart or ship out, and that I would only give him that one warning before I instated a temporary ban on him. He did not heed, and so I kept my promise.

Regardless, we can't IP ban him due to the fact he's on WebTV....

Like I said -- banning someone because they are unpopular is probably the one of the stupidist things I've ever seen here.

If anyone should be punished, it should be the so called 'everybody' (read: 5 or 6 people) who have harassed that kid since the moment he started posting here.

Oh but hey that was another board, it dosnt count. Why hell in that case lets just give Renaurd Mod powers. Hell lets give him admin powers while were at it. What? Noo? But it happened at another board it shouldnt matter... feh. Deathy causes more harm than good, hes nothing more than another Chop, another Flabo, another Spotted Sea Cow.

Hes simply not worth the trouble that he causes and dosnt contribute anything in any way shape or form. And hes not just doing it because he dosnt know better. Hes been corrected many a time when he starts spewing BS as facts and he goes right back and regurgitates the same BS over again in another thread. He basically is a troll that uses faked stupidity to cause problems rather than flames.

Well, I think the fact that he took the Op87 account might have had something to do with it, Bill.
And as I've already said, no point in enforcing a rule that wasn't violated. But as I've also already said, few seem to agree with me.
Next time, guys, let's all confer before we make any big decisions like this. The way the CoE used to. So we don't have any moe of this ridiculous back and forth stuff.

If that's the case, I have entire list of names of people who post at FWC who fit perfectly into that criteria -- let me go ahead and ban them as well.

Oh wait, it *is* because it happened on another board and why it doesn't count.

But since you bring Renaud's name up, we might as well make him a mod -- after all, he fully believes in banning people from his board who do things on other boards, so I can see why you guys might get along.

Here's the bottom line -- on the 'excuse' of his pics being inappropriate, he's been given a 1 weeks ban. During that time I fully intend to investigate this along with the rest of the admin and we will come to a decision as to his fate.

But let me assure you -- the rules DO apply to everyone, and I've already warned several users, including mods, not to flame or harass him -- its not something the admin team is going to tolerate.

Strafe, I need your thoughts on some things in the Admin forum.

As for this issue, I think for now its closed. His week's ban will stand, and we'll move on from there.

But after he's served his time for his pics, I don't care WHAT he's done on other boards, no member of THIS board will harass another. PERIOD.

So when he comes back, I expect if you have a problem with him to IGNORE him, and if you see him breaking any rules, don't break any yourself, just pass his offending post on to someone in admin who will handle it.

If you guys can't act in an unbiased manner and react to things that have happened on THIS BOARD, not the rest of the internet, then we'll appoint someone who CAN. How someone behaves on the allspark is the concern of the mods.

And please, you all may not like the guy, but lay off him and let us take it from here, okay? Bill, Doc and whoever else is more than welcome to drop me a line and we can talk about it. I'm pretty open-minded, as you may already know.
And as it's been said, calling for the banning of someone who declares himself an enemy of the Allspark on another board is really reaching. Give me a solid argument and I'll do everything I can to make sure your point is heavily considered by everyone.

You ban a guy for having a picture of a chick in a wet piece of clothing, yet the guy posting beneath it has a picture of a Child watching Kangaroos engaged in Sexual intercourse, and he gets off Scott Free. That seems pretty Selective.

Then I guess I should be apologizing.

Mainly because for the past two weeks, people from all over AllSpark--including mods--have been practically telling me to ban the guy. Finally, after talking to Doc Evil, I agreed to allow the little twerp one last chance to behave. Hell, I even wrote him an email explaining the situation to him. I recieved no response back from him, so I assumed he got the clue to act a little more civil.

However, the post about Kickback stealing his ideas was after I had warned him. Of course, with people flagging the thread...

I'll finish this later....my eye's really bugging me right now....

I truly have no clue how to help resolve this. Half of me agrees with all Deathy's detractors in thinking that, judging from his past actions (the Allspark's microcosm attitude aside) this guy doesn't belong in decent society. The other half agrees with all those in support of a harmonious Allspark where all are welcome, regardless of who likes or dislikes them.

Is my indecisiveness a liability to my position here? When I'm decisive, my decisions are always second guessed by SOMEBODY... when I try to resolve something, there's going to be another person dissatisfied with the resolution. I try to resolve situations to the benefit of all parties involved, but a lot of the time it's not possible.

Jason, can you email me your opinion on the matter? Just Jason. I want someone's views that I haven't been subjected to ad infinitum for the past few months.

In regards to the Deathy situation: I'm leaving it alone. You'll hear no more from me-- publicly or privately-- in the future.

My Personal View:

He isn't out and out breaking rules in a traditional manner, but he is breaking certain unspoken laws of being a part of civilized society. Such rules as Don't be a @#%$ idiot. People have told him time and time again in a polite manner what it is that he does that irritates people to the point of Bloodlust. He seems to Ignore these things.

And that whole big about Star Trek being made exclusively for Homosexuals was one of the most Ignorant and Stupid things to be uttered on this board since Vin's incorherent ramblings.

The Point is...why should a society embrace a person who struggles to Deny it?

It's like forcing a Fish to live in a parking lot.

Let's not ignore the fact that HE'S ignoring his ban and posting anyway under new aliases.

I dont think he's going to learn from his mistakes no matter how much he gets chastized. Even if you choose to ignore his past on ATT, (Which should be relevant as a character witness) his tenure here has proven this fact quite well.

He's going to keep posting the way he has. And people are going to keep reacting the way they have.

He was warned

He has chosen to IGNORE the warning and continue posting instead of being a man and serving out his sentence. This action demonstrates remarkable contempt for us and our rules. He has even bragged in a thread closed by fangwing that he will invent new aliases. This cretinous behavior is going to continue, count on it.

Well, as I said in the past, I sent him another email....this is the seventh time in two weeks I've done this.

I used the feature "Email selected users" in the EZboard control panel. Greg, is there a way to extract said email?

This time, I'm posting what I told him:

I have sent you multiple emails in the bast two weeks on the reasons of your temporary banning. However, you have not responded to any of them.

You were banned on the grounds that you were starting untrue and blatantly fictional rumours, ultimately starting trouble and provoking others. Now, the others who have been flaming you in the past were warned as well that if they continued to flame you, that they would also instate the temporary ban on themselves.

You went too far with the acusation that Kickback had stolen your "idea." Frankly, he had stated something that had been common knowledge long before even you claimed to have said.

Your track record at ATT, I know very little about. However, if it is enough to make a good deal of AllSparkers scream "ban" about you, it makes me wonder.

Now, we can settle this diplomatically. In my past emails, I had requested you to send an email to admin@allspark.com and tell us your side, what had happened at ATT, and ultimately, why you think we banned you (and "predjudice" is not a valid answer, because you were not banned on those conditions, at least in my mind) as well as explain to us how you think you can become a better AllSparker.
