After doing some quick calulations, I determined that before I deleted the boards, the site was using 74 of 150 megs of disk space.

After I deleted the boards and reinstalled, we were using 18.

Which means in a period of about 2 weeks we used up half of what we'd ever have available to us.

Part of this was due I'm sure in the many, many posts that were issued -- about 7500. But I'm sure character data took up a significant amount, especially with all the alt Ids.

Data Transfers were also 7.5 gigs in the first two weeks of this month, about twice what we normally push just by hosting images.

So, the bottom line is I guess there will be no ikonboard. It just uses too much and too many resources that are basically a 'perk' of my job. I can't promise that in a month I'd not be told to can it... so in that sense, its not stable.

I'm sure if we were paying for it, that would cut us a little more slack.. but if there's one thing I've learned about the community at large -- they want and want and want, and take but when asked to give simply scoff.

So I'll set the Ikonboard up as a backup board when ezboard is unreachable... but I don't think I'll be able to host it as a full time board.

So with that... I feel like there's really not a lot of point in me hanging around. So I'll probably be stepping down, and away from things in the near future.
