I refuse to allow the UTA to die before it can even be born.
Therefore, I plan to do the following, unless anyone has any concerns or suggestions with this course of action. It is developed along the lines of MGP's initial scenario, but I have made some adaptations to ensure that it allows the Allspark to function without the loss of yet another administrator.
Phase I - Somebody create an Ezboard and make certain that at least one of the forums is password protected. I would actually like to utilize Elder X's PEC, provided all of the User X stuff is cleared out of there.
Phase II - The creation of a hotmail account that with be useable by every member of the COE and ACC. Using this E-Mail, I for us to begin E-Mailing Dvandom, Renaud, Yee, Raksha, Zobovor, MSipher, Prime Saber, SE, Raksha, the newsgroup moderators, Prime from TF Extreme, BZ, Catwalk, Paul Cannon, et al. We need to come up with a UTA "sales pitch," send it to them along with a password, and tell them to meet at the Ezboard on 9/30/00.
Phase III - Before our "guests" even arrive, we need detailed information about the UTA there for them to read and understand. The most important thing about these documents are that there will be NO MENTION OF THE ALLSPARK WHATSOEVER within them. It is important that this be designed as something not just for the Allspark, but for everyone! This recent outbreak of feuding here at the Allspark has convinced me more than ever that it is needed. I'm sick and tired of all of this tearing down, I intend to build something if it's the last thing I do in this bloody fandom!
Phase IV - Once the guests have read about the UTA and its reasons for creation, we need to get some good dialogue going. No distinctions between elitists and commoners, BM supporters and haters, or any other such crap. Optimus Pyre's poetic statement over on Destron HQ is EXACTLY what I want to be incorporated into the UTA. From this point on, the discussion will take its course.
