I'm simply here to ask why you must continue on with this board when you obviously have very little interest from most of the fandom? You guys aren't busy at all. I don't think that is going to change, since there is another, better recognized AllSpark. Why hang around here, this place is depressing. I'd love to see us all patch up any differences and become one again, maybe it is worth a try? The AllSpark should be one and not two, all this is foolish and should be done with by now. AFTERBURNER

The "other side" has no interest in compromise. All they want is to see this board deleted. That's not going to happen. We like our board and we think other people will like it too. That's why last night we invited everyone on the member list to come back and check us out. The measure of a board's worth is quality, not quantity. Everyone is welcome at the AllSpark

Posts: 19 (2003-10-02 08:05:50) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I'll tell you whats depressing it's having to watch the leaders of the other Allspark refer to us as the Fakespark and go out of it's way to harass this board who enjoys a sense of freedom that was present when it was first opened. Hence my new protest Banner SIG. The new Allspark has become what most of us hated with Bottalk. A power base that uses it's influence on others to get what it wants. The Irony is that regardless of the how you felt about the split between this Allspark and the other you would have fought the power back in 1999. Don't rush to conclusions on what your fed. It wasn't pretty but what divorce is. We wanted freedom from an oppressive administration and whiney fanboys who toss lawsuit threats like candy.

We don't bow down to people who see the interest in transformers as the means to make a buck. We're just a group of friends who have common interests. We don't seek recognition amongst the rest of you. Is someone comes in and likes it, they're welcome with open arms. But don't for a second believe that we're looking for the approval of either toy corporations or lucrative "fan" sites. Other than that, thanks for taking the time to drop by.

That situation was VERY different. The AllSpark was not just created as a place where "anything goes", but rather a new board for those banned from Bottalk for whatever reason (usually there was no reason). And a new board for SHOCKWAVE's spoilers. I can see how some of you may think the other AllSpark is a little too structured, and to some extent I agree. However, there is lots of freedom to be had within the structure, and there is nothing wrong with being expected to behave in a responsible manner. Too much freedom just leads to chaos, and not discussion, and I think that is why the other board is more popular. You are right, it is quality over quantity, but it is hard to have a quality discussion board without people with whom to discuss. I am glad to hear that you tried reconciling, and sorry to hear the attempt fell flat. However, I am very suprised to hear you get any threats from AllSpark.com, since they have no reason to be concerned about this board at all, except for the use of the AllSpark name, which does technically belong to Kalidor through Optimus87 from what I understand. I'm not saying this board has to die, I just think if the two sides could at least get along... it would be nice. I really think it is silly to have two AllSparks, not to mention confusing to new fans. I'd say maybe if this place took on a new name, while still recognizing what it once was, it may get better recognition throughout the fandom, and more people would be inclined to check it out and maybe come back here for a bit. Otherwise, I don't think you're ever going to grow. If that is ok with you, then great, but other boards will continue to grow and I hope you guys don't want to ostracize yourselves. I can't think that would be fun at all. AFTERBURNER

I am cool with this board, I just would rather see some discussion here, and I think the feud is silly and petty. The whole split was for that matter. If there was more discussion here, I would be interested, but as it is a very slow board, there isn't much to draw me here, except a few fond memories and a couple of old faces. That is really all. Take care, I wish you all good times here. Maybe someday the phrase "We Are One" can actually have meaning again. AFTERBURNER

Kalidor has filed several copyright infringement complaints against this board. They all kinda fell flat, not to mention Neale's litte C & D. Now, as for threats, I get them. From X-Warlock, he even threatened my life, along with the life of my 13 year old brother over a misunderstanding. That is not the kind of board I would like to be at, and I'm speaking as one of Kalidor's former lackeys here. I was his bitch boy for a year. As for the name, this board has the legal right to use the name, as it is the original home of The AllSpark. If you want to read any of the numerous threats from that administration, go to pub68.ezboard.com/boner , that board is run by Chopper.

We do appreciate your opinion, as do we appreciat you stopping by to tell us them. The board drama is a big mess, and I really wish they would at least mature and move on. But, as long as Kalidor says "fakespark" and X threatening lives, I really see no growth in that administrative body. The methods on how one os promoted over there isn't that respectable either, but I'm not going into that... But yeah, we do appreciate your thoughts.

Neither can rightfully claim more rights to the name, as it would technically be Hasbro's word, not ours. As for use of the name, hell, this place has been here longer. Kalidor and the others decided to leave, that's their call. I'm just tired of them constantly trying to find loopholes in which to get rid of this one. "Oh joy, oh pain! Oh joy, oh pain!
